Washington, D.C. will host major 250th-anniversary (Semiquincentennial) celebrations on July 4, 2026, featuring the Salute to America 250 Fireworks, a National Mall festival, and a U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Parade on June 14, 2026. Events include Washington Monument projections, the Great American State Fair (June 25\u2013July 10), and the Rededicate 250 National Prayer Event on May 17, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Opening day includes a ribbon cutting and live entertainment. Each day highlights a special theme: Sunday celebrates America\u0092s 250th anniversary, Monday focuses on health and wellness, Tuesday highlights community and shared values, Wednesday spotlights wildfire prevention and forestry, Thursday honors America\u0092s natural beauty, and Friday celebrates farmers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nThe Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington D.C. will recognize the historic milestone of America's independence and celebrate the unparalleled tradition and legacy of America's motorsports industry.
\nThis will take place Aug. 22-23, 2026, marking the first\u2011ever NTT INDYCAR SERIES race on the National Mall. The free, two-day motorsports event will celebrate America\u2019s 250th anniversary with world\u2011class racing set against the backdrop of some of America\u2019s most historic landmarks, including the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
