New York City will host major celebrations for America\u2019s 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) from July 3 – 8, 2026, centered on the\u00a0Sail4th 250<\/strong>\u00a0maritime spectacle, featuring over 70 tall ships and naval vessels, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, a special Times Square July 4th ball drop, and Macy’s Fireworks. Over 8-10 million spectators are expected for these historic events.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The 50th annual\u00a0Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks<\/strong>\u00a0in 2026 will be a historic celebration, marking both the 50th anniversary of the show and the 250th anniversary of the United States (America 250) on July 4th. Ticker Tape Parade<\/h3>\n

On July 6, 2026, the City of New York will host\u00a0Homecoming of Heroes: A Ticker Tape Parade Honoring our Post-9\/11 Combat Veterans, First Responders and their Families.\u00a0<\/strong>It will be a historic tribute recognizing the extraordinary service, sacrifice, and resilience of a generation that bore the weight of America\u2019s longest war.<\/p>\n

This celebration will be the first time New York City, and this nation, formally recognize veterans of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) with a parade down the famed Canyon of Heroes. The event comes at a powerful moment in national and international history\u2014on the heels of the\u00a0250th birthdays\u00a0of the\u00a0U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps, the\u00a0400th birthday\u00a0of New York City, and the return of the\u00a0International Naval Review 250, bringing allied fleets from around the world to New York Harbor in a rare show of global maritime unity and respect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
